  簡述    光纖在傳輸過程中會產生損耗,而這種損耗主要來自光纖自身的傳輸損耗和光纖接頭處的熔接/冷接損耗組成的。

光纖熔接和冷接的區別

光纖接頭技術主要有兩種:熔接和冷接。

熔接:通過“熔接機”對光纖進行接續。

優點:操作簡單,後期維護成本低;

缺點:前期投入大,專用工具較多。

影響光纖熔接損耗的主要因素:

1.光纖自身因素,如:光纖模場直徑不一致、兩根纖芯徑失配、纖芯截面不圓、纖芯與包層同心度不佳等。

2.接續技術因素。

3.其他因素,如:接續的操作步驟、盤纖工藝水平,以及接續人員操作水平、工作環境清潔程度等。

冷接:與熔接相對立,透過“冷接子”對光纖進行機械接續,整個接續過程可在2分鐘內完成。

優點:壓接工具簡單

缺點:後期維護成本較高,施工工藝較精細。

There are two main types of fiber connector technology: fusion splicing and cold splicing.

Fusion splicing: splicing of FDDI through a "fusion splicer".

Advantages: simple operation and low maintenance cost;

Disadvantages: large initial investment and more special tools.

The main factors affecting FDDI splice loss:

1. The fiber's own factors, such as: inconsistent fiber mode field diameters, mismatched core diameters, out-of-round core cross-sections, and poor concentricity between core and cladding.

2. Continuing technical factors.

3. Other factors, such as: the operation steps of the connection, the level of fiber processing technology, the operation level of the connection personnel, and the cleanliness of the working environment.

Cold splicing: Opposite to fusion splicing, the FDDI is mechanically spliced through the "cold splice", and the entire splicing process can be completed in 2 minutes.

Pros: Simple crimping tool

Disadvantages: later maintenance costs are higher and the construction process is more elaborate.
